About Brush & Bloom

Ten years ago, I picked up a paintbrush during one of the hardest seasons of my life–and something shifted. I wasn’t trying to make anything beautiful. I was just trying to breathe.

At first, it was simply a quiet moment to myself, a way to escape the noise and find peace. But over time, painting became something deeper. It became a sacred space–where I could meet with God, reflect, grieve, hope, and begin to heal.

There’s something powerful that happens when it’s just me, the paper, and the paint. The world quiets, my heart slows, and somewhere between the brushstrokes I start to see clearly again.

Every piece I create begins with a sense of uncertainty. Often, there’s a point where I think, “This isn’t working. Maybe I should stop.” But I’ve learned to keep going. And what unfolds always surprises me. That journey–from chaos to calm, from doubt to beauty–mirrors life in the most meaningful way. God meets me in the middle of the mess, and somehow, He makes something beautiful.

Now, as I share my work with the world through Brush & Bloom, my hope is that it speaks beyond the colors and shapes. I hope it brings peace to your space, encouragement to your heart, and maybe even a reminder that beauty can rise from broken places.

And, if you’ve ever felt drawn to create, I pray you give yourself permission to try. You don’t need to be “good” at art for it to heal something inside you. The process is the gift.

This is more than art to me–it’s my story, and maybe, a small part of yours too.
